Cloud Tech has small accounting firms optimistic about the future

The cloud is transforming the accounting industry and the role of the ACP and right now they are feeling rather optimistic about their future.

Right Networks Cloud Impact Survey

A survey conducted by Right Networks found that more than half of the 364 small accounting firms and other accounting professionals surveyed were optimistic, in a way, about the economy. While more than half were "cautiously optimistic" about the next six months, almost the same number (48%) are optimistic.

And the use of cloud technology – and the benefits it provides to small accounting firms – were among the major factors that pushed optimism upward.

Effective in the Cloud

These results are important for small businesses. Expenditure management, employee time tracking, and billing are just some of the things the cloud can do effectively and securely. What's more, small businesses can connect with their CPA in the cloud to do a variety of things in one place. In summary, the report highlights the effectiveness of the cloud as a business tool.

Rachel Krug is the Director of Product Marketing for Right Networks. She told Small Business Trends that there are still some barriers.

Optimistic Perspectives

"While SMEs have an optimistic view and are early adopters of technology, 21% of respondents pointed out the costs when they were asked about the" biggest hurdle "to migration to the world. Another 53% reported security issues, "she said.

When asked about other barriers to small business success, respondents' responses varied. Concerns about health care and related employee spending top the list at 32%. Cash flow management, government regulations, and work-life balance management all rank just behind health issues.
