Codefresh, an integration and continuous delivery platform designed for the Kubernetes container ecosystem, announced today that it has raised an $ 8 million Series B run by M12, the Microsoft Venture Capital Fund. Viola Ventures, Hillsven and CEIF also participated in this round, bringing the company's total funding to $ 15.1 million.
In a market where there seems to be more CI / CD platforms every day, Codefresh stands out for its interest in Kubernetes, which is now the de facto standard for container orchestration services and is experiencing rapid growth of adoption. The service promises that it can help developers automate their application deployments to Kubernetes and that teams will see "development times up to 24x faster". This figure seems a bit optimistic, but the whole point of adoption Kubernetes and CI / CD is obviously speeding up the process of development and deployment.
"The meteoric rise of Kubernetes occurs so quickly that most tool chains have not followed, and M12 knows it," said Raziel Tabib, co-founder and CEO. of Codefresh. "With this latest round of financing, we will accelerate our roadmap and expand our customer base."
The Codefresh platform has reached its general availability in 2017 and the company currently has about 20,000 users, including Giphy.
