Following Tuesday's announcement that Google is consolidating its ads into three new brands – Google Ads, Google Marketing Platform and Google Ad Manager – the company is consolidating and updating its marketing partner program.
The Google Marketing Platform combines DoubleClick advertising products and the Google Analytics 360 suite into a single solution for business advertisers.
The new Google Marketing platform partners combine Google Analytics Certified Partners and DoubleClick Certified Marketing Partners, and include resources across all platform products. "Whether you're looking to develop skills internally or in partnership with a service provider, the program helps ensure that the skills and resources needed are readily available," writes Chip Hall, general manager of media platforms. at Google, in the ad.
There are three partner designations:
- Certified Individuals: Complete certifications for individual products in the Google Marketing Platform.
- Certified Enterprises: Companies that have certified employees to provide consulting, training, implementation, operations and technical support services and have "stellar" references.
- Business Partners: These companies sell Google Marketing Platform technology on behalf of Google. They work more closely with Google in providing services and advice than certified companies.
The Google Marketing Platform Partners program currently has more than 500 companies. There are resources listed for analysis, display and 360-degree video, campaign manager, creative, search ads 360, attribution, Data Studio, Optimize and the tag manager.
