HTC U11Plus offers a long battery life, other features for business users

Six months after the release of the HTC U11, the iconic phone company has announced the availability of the U11 Plus. This is an improved version of its predecessor, with a larger display and battery, as well as IP68 protection and a Sense Edge feature with more features.

U11's pressure line and liquid glass covers have made it known that HTC (TPE: 2498) has not lost the innovative designs for which the company was known. With the U11 Plus, HTC has improved all these features by making them bigger and better.

For small business owners looking for a daily driver, the U11 Plus has features designed to facilitate interaction with the phone. Fast access, a long battery life and a six-inch screen with a solid camera could be exactly what the doctor ordered for companies in certain areas.

HTC U11 Plus Upgrades

You now get a 6-inch Super LCD with a Quad HD Plus resolution (2,880 x 1,440) with an 18: 9 aspect ratio and support for DCI-P3 color space and HDR10 video. This is powered by Snapdragon 835 from Qualcomm with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. Depending on the country you are in, you can have the option of 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

One of the most important improvements is a 30% increase in battery capacity. Compared to the 3000mAh of U11, the U11 Plus is just 4,000mAh, reaching 3,930mAh. If you are outside the office all day, it is possible that this phone will take you to your return home.

Other features include 12MP front-end and 8MP front-end cameras with new software optimization, Android Oreo, USonic noise-canceling USB-C earbud (included), IP68 protection and wizard Google or Alexa.

Edge Sense

One of the innovative features of the U11 was Edge Sense. The feature allows you to squeeze the side of the phone to quickly access apps, the Google Assistant or Alexa, and even launch the camera and take a picture. The new phone includes the enhanced Edge Launcher to quickly activate your favorite apps, contacts, and quick settings.

Edge Sense can also be customized to assign features to most apps on the Google Play Store.

Where can you find one?

The HTC U11 Plus will be available in different parts of the world with multiple configurations. Europe seems to be the first, with pre-orders starting on November 20, 2017, followed by other regions.

Although the price was not posted on the company's website, Engadget reported that it would cost nearly $ 925 in the UK, potential buyers will have to wait to see if the price American will be comparable.
