IHOP – Making the IHOB – Throws a Flame on the Rebranding

The International House of Crepes (IHOP) has decided to change its name to IHOb (the "b" means burgers ") to roll out seven new meat sandwiches, adding to the menu, and American fast food restaurants are roasting the restaurant for this.

Resumption of the IHOP

IHOP publicly dropped the new acronym last week, sparking widespread speculation as to what the "b" means in the refitted name. People did not have to wait long to find out. The pillar of pancake restaurants released a video Monday morning letting hungry Americans know that the "b" represents hamburgers.

Other establishments known for hamburgers (not for pancakes) immediately became acquainted.

Texas-based Whataburger came out swinging on Monday, saying that they love their pancakes but they would never change their name to "Whatapancake".

The Wendy's fast food chain said not to be afraid of moving the IHOP because a place that thinks that making pancakes is too hard will not make delicious burgers.

Twitter users also intervened, largely rejecting disapproval, some praise and some jokes on the way to IHOP.
