Solar Trees Fueling South Florida Park

Joining the lush South Florida, green canopy of real trees are a new crop of solar trees. These "trees" have blue trunks and do not bear fruit, but provide clean energy to those who need it.

If you are at the beach and your phone starts to die, you can charge it here using solar energy.

Here's how solar trees work: Each solar tree is equipped with 2 solar panels. Some of this collected energy feeds the community grid and a nearby box that sends electricity to outlets where phones or computers can be charged.
