In a recent announcement by promising start-up based on the blockchain REMME the platform will be used to back up user accounts on Deposit Photos including personal financial details of photo purchases.
The new partnership highlights the forward-thinking aspirations of Deposit Photos, as well as the cases of active use of the new password-free access system REMME.
The Internet has been marked by hacking problems and the risk for online data users is steadily increasing. A simple search on Google reveals a lot of hacking problems where the databases of usernames and passwords have been compromised. The recent piracy of Equifax notwithstanding, the risk for consumers continues to grow .
What is REMME?
REMME is the first platform of its kind, capable of providing access to users without the need for password verification. The platform is designed to provide the best in security by using the distributed ledger of blockchain technology to protect and secure user information.
The platform is able to grant users access without a password by providing for user authentication using a combination of SSL certificates and technology blockchain. Whenever a user disconnects from any platform related to REMME, REMME delivers an immutable key to the user. When the user reconnects, the key is revoked and can never be valid.
By linking the SSL certification process to the blockchain, the company is able to allow users to determine whether a certificate is still valid or has been revoked. A valid certificate means that the user is authenticated, simply by connecting with the blockchain. A revoked certificate means that another hacker or robot is trying to access the data on the server and that the REMME system would block that user.
In addition, REMME uses two-factor authentication (2FA) that can be used with various widely available applications or bots. While 2FA is not really necessary, given the security of the REMME system, it provides a secondary component of protection for consumer confidence.
What is Deposit Photos?
Deposit Photos is a website dedicated to stock photography for the fledgling web and print industry. The site provides users with access to millions of cool images, videos and current images of the highest quality in a wide variety of fields.
The site currently offers user access via secure passwords, but is associated with REMME to provide true password-free security to its users and to better protect information and payments users. With the REMME platform in place, consumers on the site can have complete confidence that their information is stored securely.
Start of the REMME pilot program
REMME has officially announced its pilot program for companies to join because the platform is exposed to the public after a very successful beta-test launch. The pilot program has accepted applications from various online portals of October 17 and will run until December 17.
On December 20, the REMME team will evaluate entries and select ten companies that fit well to the platform as viable use cases. After submitting an application, the REMME team will be in touch to determine the technical details for the implementation.
The sale is on
The REMME platform is growing and use cases are already appearing everywhere, as shown by the partnership with Deposit Photos. As the company gets up and starts looking for serious companies in terms of safety and security of users, it has decided that a symbolic sale will be used to finance the project. The pre-sale for tokens begins on December 4, and users can be informed of specificities by registering to the chain of telegrams .
For more technical information on how the REMME platform can ensure consumer safety, and for specific details on integration, see the REMME White Paper ] here . With a solid business application already assembled, token buyers will need to be ready to respond at the opening of the sale.
